3 rules for instant success on social media!

The original idea behind the inception of social media was to bring people from all walks of life, closer together. The magic that social media did in helping people communicate over long distances with great deal of efficiency and ease made it popular among the masses. As a result, more and more people all over the world started using social media. Today, almost every person on earth who has a smartphone, has at least one social media account, and this is the opportunity that social media marketing companies leverage to promote the business of their clients – because we all know, where there are people, there is business.

In this day and age, if you want to be successful as a business firm, you need a strong social media presence and there are plenty of PR firms in Delhi, the national capital that can help you accomplish this goal. Let us take a look at some of the most popular strategies that these social media marketing companies use:

1. Creating content for mobiles

The popularity of smartphones has grown rapidly in the past decade – especially given the fact that they’ve become smarter and cheaper at the same time. According to a report by a survey conducted in the year 2018, nearly 70% of all social media users were accessing those social media portals from mobile devices. As someone who is into SEO and PR, you cannot help but think about leveraging this opportunity for business.

There are so many people who have Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat installed on their mobile devices and if you really want to reach out to this massive audience, then you need to create content that they’d find easily accessible. This is why you need to create everything keeping in mind that most of the people would be viewing that content on their mobile phones. So, one of the most stark switches would be to change the aspect ratio of the images from a landscape version that is desktop friendly to a portrait version that is mobile friendly.

2. Don’t paint everything with the same brush

Even though Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. are all collectively clubbed under the name “social media”, they’re actually very different from each other, and except for a few basic structural similarities, they have their own algorithms. Therefore, if you want to make the most out of each of these portals, you need to play by their rules and abandon the one-size-fits-all approach.

For instance, on Facebook, you can take be more generous with your word limit as there apparently isn’t any. This, however, does not mean that you should write essays in the feed. On Instagram, your focus should be more on making the image vibrant and appealing. On Twitter, you need to be able to say what you have to in very few words. Brevity is the key here. Initially, Twitter had a character limit of 140 which was increased last year to 280 – yet that’s not a lot. So you need to be very clear and concise in order to convey your message appropriately.

3. What would your reader think?

If you want to become successful with your content, you need to think like your potential readers. Social media websites are full of unoriginal, trite content that is of no value. We don’t even keep count of how many posts we just skip past without even noticing, because there is nothing appealing about them. Now, obviously it’ll be difficult to come up with appealing content if you’re creating content continuously, but you do need to create a balance. Don’t post for the sake of posting. Post when you think you can wrap your marketing strategy in a nice bundle of value for the reader. People don’t care about your business or products. They care about themselves and what you are doing for them. Show them that and you’ll be successful.

If you follow these three simple rules that social media marketing agencies follow, then you’d have much more success in your social media campaigns. Go try these out!
